Century’s David Savage contributes to High Quality Formative Assessment Article in The Science Teacher Journal

Congratulations to Century High School Science Teacher, David Savage, who contributed to an article titled “Supporting Student and Teacher Participation in High Quality Formative Assessment through a Continuum of Student Talk” in this month’s edition of The Science Teacher. David will also be co-presenting on the topic at an upcoming conference. The writing team presents a continuum of discourse structures, refined through a decade of Patterns Physics implementation, that gradually releases responsibility from teacher to students while supplying real-time evidence of learning. This article offers teachers a concrete, adaptable roadmap for embedding high-leverage talk at the heart of NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) - aligned science instruction. Well done, David! You make us all Proud to Be HSD!
