Oregon HOSA State Leadership Conference

Century High School Health Science students attended the HOSA State Leadership Conference with 800 other Oregon students at the Hyatt Regency in Portland on February 20-22, 2025.

Students attended workshops and competed in multiple events including Medical Assisting, CPR/First Aid, Sports Medicine, and HOSA Bowl. Students take online exams in each of the events, and their combined scores comprise the final score. Century’s team of Thi Nguyen, Abby Nguyen, Luke Song, and Makayla Nguyen finished in the top 8 of 32 in HOSA Bowl. Top five finishes were seen by Nico Villegas for Medical Spelling, Jade Cuenco for Medical Assisting, Abby Nguyen in Job Seeking Skills, and the team of Christina Boun and Tran Vue for CPR/First Aid.

Century’s Anatomage team, the Anato-Mages, took first place in the anatomy competition, identifying the most nerves, muscles, bones, and other landmarks on the virtual cadavers. Team members are Rayan Tanner, Thi Nguyen, Alana Nguyen, and Abby Nguyen.
